Sambal goreng teri petai

Sambal is a condiment that has a chili-based sauce. Sambals are popular in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the southern Philippines, South Africa and Sri Lanka, as well as in the Netherlands and in Suriname, through Javanese influence. Typically made from a variety of chili peppers, it is sometimes a substitute for fresh chilis and can be extremely spicy for the uninitiated. Sambal goreng teri petai is a mixture of red chilli, garlic, shallot, salted ikan teri (anchovy) and petai green stinky bean as the main ingredients.

2 garlic cloves
red chili peppers, at will
1 tomato
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
4 tablespoons cooking oil
fried onion (or fried shallot)
