Stock is a flavoured water preparation. It forms the basis of many dishes, particularly soups and sauces. Vegetable stock is made only of vegetables.

Ingredients

2-3 carrots
1 parsley root
50 grams of celery root (or celeriac or knob celery)
1/2-1 stalk of leek
1-2 stalks of parsley
2 tomatoes
4 common mushrooms (or button mushrooms)
1 onion
3-4 garlic cloves
1/2 teaspoon of peppercorn
5-7 dried juniper berries
1,5-2 liters of water
1 tablespoon of salt
