Sushi

Sushi is a Japanese food consisting of cooked vinegared rice sushi-meshi (sushi rice) combined with other ingredients (neta), usually raw fish or other seafood. Neta and forms of sushi presentation vary widely, but the ingredient which all sushi have in common is vinegared rice. The rice is also referred to as (shari) and "sumeshi" (vinegared rice).

Ingredients

500 grams of sushi rice
250 grams of tuna fillet or tuna steak
250 grams of salmon fillet
2 tablespoons of mirin ( a kind of rice wine, but with a lower alcohol content and higher sugar content)
3-5 tablespoons of rice vinegar
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
2 teaspoons of mayonnaise
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
15 grams of nori
15-20 grams of wasabi paste (Japanese horseradish)
soy sauce
